About the Symposium
Each year we focus on a different topic of the Symposium, depending on the current healthy lifestyle problems, difficulties, and opportunities society is being confronted by. We are trying to understand the needs of individuals, employees, and corporations, and imply the appropriate questions and topics.
We can happily say that so far we have always had the opportunity to listen to the best lecturers and have hosted wonderful audience that always gave us honest and strong positive feedback. With HLS we are trying to give more to the society; to do more for people all over the world. That is why we also record lectures of the Symposium and post them on 24alife webpage after each event.
Symposium Timeline
Symposium 2019
8th edition of the symposium titled The many faces of well-being; recovery, prevention, and improvement, was focused on the five most important factors of well-being: limited seating, sugar intake, stress management, social isolation problems and the importance of sleep.
Symposium 2018
The Seventh International Healthy Lifestyle Symposium (HLS) entitled Rubik Cube of Workplace Health Promotion. How to assemble it?, was held on May 14th and 15th, 2018 at the Domus Medica in Ljubljana.
Symposium 2017
The Sixth International Healthy Lifestyle Symposium (HLS) entitled One Size Fits No One: A Program to Reach the Most, was held on April 10th and 11th, 2017 at the Austria Trend Hotel in Ljubljana, focusing on understanding the necessity of offering multiple wellness options in order to positively affect behavioral change.
International HLS New Delhi 2016
In November 2016 we organized an International HLS titled Wellbeing at Workplace – Ideas for India: Healthier and Happier Employees for Successful Business. We hosted many important names form India and all over the world at the HLS New Delhi on November 22nd, 2016 at the India Habitat Centre. They came from Slovenian Embassy in New Delhi, TATA Sons, Mayo Clinic, European Parliament and many more.
Symposium 2016
We named the 4th HLS Healthy Workplaces for All Ages. The Symposium will take place on April 18-19, 2016, at the Domus Medica, Dunajska 162, Ljubljana, Slovenia and will address topics of challenges and management of healthy lifestyle and aging from organizational and personal point of view.
Symposium 2015
The Third International Healthy Lifestyle Symposium (HLS) was held on April 9th and 10th, 2015 in Domus Medica, Ljubljana, focusing on lifestyle-tracking for health, strength and longevity for work productivity and sick leave prevention.
Symposium 2014
2nd International Symposium – Healthy Life Style Between Myth and Reality was held on May 15th and 16th, 2014 in Domus Medica, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Event was organized in cooperation with the Medical Chamber of Slovenia and partners from the University Medical Center Ljubljana, University Medical Center Maribor, and Department of Family Medicine (Faculty of Medicine Ljubljana).
Symposium 2013
1st International HLS – Managing stress at work was held on May 20th and 21st, 2013 in Hotel Plaza in Ljubljana. More than 200 participants attended lectures about trends and challenges for the future that were given by 20 foreign and domestic experts, out of which 6 were from the Mayo Clinic.
