In this session, we hosted two worldwide distinguished guests, dr. Dorian Dugmore, CEO of The Wellness Academy, and dr. Lee Rice, CEO of Lifewellness Institute. Sharing their expertise on the benefits that a well-being program can have on a company practice we discussed what best practices have they gathered through their career. Working with leading companies and sports organizations our guests were able to give practical advice on the role well-being plays in executive health and success and how to create an engaging well-being program.

Dorian Dugmore

Dr. Dorian Dugmore

Dr. Dorian Dugmore is the CEO of The Wellness Academy. He is internationally hailed as an expert in cardiovascular health, preventative medicine, and wellness. His programs resulted in him winning World and European Best Practice awards for corporate wellness. He has been working in Cardiovascular Medicine and Wellness for 30 years and has written extensively on health, exercise, and heart disease. He served as the Director of the Toronto Rehabilitation Centre in Canada, considered the best in the world for Cardiac rehabilitation. Dorian is past Secretary-General of the World Council for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. He is currently on the nucleus for Sports Cardiology and Prevention, belonging to the European Society of Cardiology. Dr. Dugmore has earned numerous awards for his work, including an MEB’ Heart of Britain Award’, and a fellowship to the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) for his outstanding work in cardiovascular medicine. Dorian was recently honored with a Vistage Speakers Award, which recognized his 15 years of delivering value to Chief Executives.

Lee Rice

Dr. Lee Rice

With more than thirty years of experience as a family and sports medicine physician, Dr. Rice is a premier medical expert on wellness, both in the United States and internationally. He is a frequent speaker for executive organizations including Young Presidents Organization (YPO), World Presidents Organization (WPO), Chief Executives Organization (CEO), and Vistage International, at many private and public corporations and is a frequent lecturer at medical schools. Dr. Rice is an accomplished author having penned numerous medical texts and journal articles in the areas of wellness and sports medicine.
In 1980, Dr. Rice established San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center, which was one of the first truly comprehensive sports medicine centers in the country. He has served as a team physician for numerous professional and Olympic teams including the San Diego Chargers, San Diego Clippers, San Diego Gulls, San Diego Sockers, USA Olympic Volleyball teams, and numerous American’s Cup sailing syndicates including Oracle Racing.

Dr. Rice has been an associate clinical professor of family and preventive medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, and currently is a clinical professor of family medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Rice is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. He is a founder and past president of both the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Eva Kovac

Eva Kovač

Eva Kovač is an organizational and performance psychologist working in the field of talent management, employee well-being, organizational psychology, and performance psychology. She is educated as a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist and a medical hypnotherapist. Eva has rich global experiences working with international organizations on employee well-being programs and professional athletes, teams, managers, and talents. Eva is also a guest speaker at many international conferences on psychology-related topics. She is a stress management facilitator for many global organizations like Mayo Clinic, ADNOC, Apollo Hospitals, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services, NSIC, AIMA, Roseate Hotels, etc. others and leads their employee well-being programs and designing stress management frameworks. She leads 24alife global offices and experts to implement 24alife model of employee well-being into client organizations. She works with elite athletes in the process of mental preparation for big competitions, Olympic Games, and World championships.
