By providing safe, health-friendly workplaces and healthy lifestyle opportunities, we are adding to employees’ wellbeing, health, and increasing labor productivity.
We have succesfully organized the 4th International Healthy Lifestyle Symposium titled:
The Symposium took place on April 18-19, 2016, at the Domus Medica, Dunajska 162, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The Symposium was organized by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities (MDDSZ), the Ministry of Health (MZ), the Information and Communication Technology Development Centre Savinja Žalec (RC IKTS) as a part of the project 24alife, the Medical Chamber of Slovenia (ZZS) in cooperation with the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound) and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), which also co-financed the event.

Also presented were accomplishments from the field of information and telemedicine development solutions for monitoring health condition and lifestyle for the purposes of occupational medicine, rehabilitation medicine, training centers, and preventive health programs.
The first day of the Symposium marked the beginning of the European campaign Healthy Workplaces 2016-2017: Healthy Workplaces for All Ages, in Slovenia. This campaign is conducted under the auspices of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). Special emphasis was placed on the display and analysis of the user experience with the 24alife program platform. Technologically project includes the Faculty of Sports, University of Ljubljana – Institute for Kinesiology (head expert prof. dr. Vojko Strojnik), Faculty for Sports, University of Ljubljana – Institute for Psychology (head expert prof. dr. Matej Tušak), Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana (head expert prof. dr. Alojz Ihan), Karl-Franzens Universität Graz, Institute for Psychology (head expert prof. dr. Paul Jiménez), Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research TNO, and Mayo Clinic, USA (head expert prof. Juraj Sprung, MD, PhD, Department of Anesthesiology, College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic).
The second day focused on informational tools intended for organizers and health promotors. These tools provide health-friendly organizations knowledge from embedded expert, methodological, and logistical experiences.
Those invited were representatives of social partners, experts on the fields of Occupational Medicine, Workplace Safety, Psychology, Human resources, Nutrition, and Sports, and all who were interested in these fields.
